Bilz-Bund für Naturheilkunde e.V. Radebeul

»Nature was my guiding star, may it also be the guiding star of posterity«
Friedrich Eduard Bilz

The Bilz-Bund für Naturheilkunde e.V. Radebeul, founded in 1995, aims to revive and popularise naturopathy in the spirit of Friedrich Eduard Bilz (1842-1922). To this end, we continue to develop the natural lifestyle and "classical" naturopathy according to F. E. Bilz, taking into account the latest scientific findings and incorporating ecological environmental design and its accessibility for everyone. We work together with other organisations and institutions with similar objectives, especially in the region.

German Child Protection Association, Local Association Radebeul

The German Child Protection Association, OV Radebeul e. V. runs the children's and youth circus SANRO and seven other facilities, as well as the open children's and youth centre Blauer Elefant with an integrated day care centre in the Mohrenhaus.

The neighbouring adventure playground and football pitch offer plenty of opportunities for children to get active. The large forest park also invites children to take part in sporting activities and meaningful leisure pursuits outside of the daycare centre's opening hours.

The close connection to the neighbouring youth and leisure area makes our offers even more varied. Whether it's family afternoons, holiday activities or school trips with overnight stays in our trailer park - we look forward to welcoming young and old alike!

Radebeul Tourist Association

Our town resembles a large jigsaw puzzle, not only because of its historically evolved territorial composition, but also because of the numerous opportunities for experiences. Unfortunately, the latter are difficult to put together. All the cultural, historical, museum, sporting and culinary pieces of the puzzle often only present themselves to the visitor as a patchwork and not as a unified whole. The Radebeul Tourist Association helps visitors and residents alike to complete, join together and connect the pieces.

Karl May Museum

Karl May (1842-1912), the creator of immortal novel heroes such as Winnetou, Old Shatterhand and Kara Ben Nemsi, has been the most popular and most widely read German writer for generations. In his former home, the "Villa Shatterhand", you will discover May's eventful life and literary work. This includes the famous collection of weapons with silver rifle, bear slayer and Henry's rifle, his study furnished with oriental pieces of furniture and the valuable library. In the over 90-year-old Wild West log cabin "Villa Bärenfett", visitors can marvel at a unique collection of objects from the 18th to 20th centuries, including splendidly decorated clothing, elaborate carvings and impressive featherwork.

Sanro children's and youth circus

The volunteer-run inclusive children's and youth circus SANRO is a project of the German Child Protection Association, OV Radebeul e. V. and part of the open children's and youth centre Blauer Elefant. V. and part of the open children's and youth centre Blauer Elefant.

Circus-enthusiastic children and young people from the age of 3 train here four days a week, including those from socially disadvantaged families, families with a migration background, schools with a special needs focus and children and young people with physical or mental disabilities. Rhythm skills and movement on stage are trained during choreography training, which are then performed once a year at the Landesbühnen Sachsen during the big Christmas circus.

At the annual KinderKulturKarawane (Children's Culture Caravan), the circus engages in cultural exchange with guests from countries such as Peru, Congo and Palestine and learns about new disciplines and cultural specialities.

The circus can be proud of the HanseMerkus Award for Child Protection it received in 2019, which was followed by the nomination and award of the German Commitment Award in 2021.

Music school of the district of Meißen

The Meißen district music school is the largest educational institution in the district. In Radebeul alone, it teaches almost 1000 pupils on all common instruments at three locations and in primary schools and kindergartens.

Special emphasis is placed on children and young people making music together, and this is cultivated week after week in numerous smaller and larger ensembles, including the youth symphony orchestra. Performance opportunities are important for ensembles and for instrumental training in general, as they also contribute to enriching the musical and cultural life of the city. The music students play in retirement and nursing homes, at school festivals, exhibition openings, award ceremonies, festive events of all kinds and also in the music school's own concerts.

»trail walk«

Familiar landscapes show their wild side as soon as we let them. It is not easy to spot wild animals, especially during the day. Their tracks and signs are often the only thing we see of them at first. These can be very different clues, such as feathers, footprints, holes, nests, feeding marks - the range is huge. And once discovered, they reveal to us the occurrence, population, behaviour and habits of wild animals living here.
